Part 2: Proper Canine Socialization

Who Is It For?

This course is perfect if you:

  • Want to apply the theory from Part 1 into practical training.

  • Solve problem behavior

  • Walk nicely passing other dogs, people or objects on or off leash

  • Already work with dogs {a groomer, dog walker, rescuer} and want to learn more about positive dog training, problem solving and dog language

To register for Part 2 you need to currently attend or have completed Part 1 with an Exit lesson.

How Does It Work?

This course is practical training only.  Combining online and on-site training.  Putting into practice the basic theory and knowledge from Part 1. Can be taken concurrently with P1 if you have the time.

 

Dogs must be over 6 months of age.

Upon completion there is an exam and certificate.

Language:  English so everyone can participate

Subjects and Learning Objectives

  • Observation of your dog and your own body language

  • Attention sound and walk nice on leash

  • Passing other dog / humans / objects when walking your dog​

  • Hand signal and splitting

  • Environmental training and socialization skills

  • Training for fearful, reactive, or aggressive dog behavior

  • Learning principles using desensitization and training stress reducing activities
