About Our Dog Training Practice in Puerto Rico
Canine Assistance Puerto Rico provides assessment-led, behavior-focused dog training grounded in real-world reliability and canine welfare.
Our work centers on dogs whose challenges involve regulation, overstimulation, reactivity, or inconsistent behavior across environments. Training focuses on handling, environment, and decision-making rather than command acquisition alone.
Service dog training follows task-specific, criteria-based phases and is earned through demonstrated readiness, not promised outcomes.
The practice was founded to support individuals seeking practical, force-free training for real-life situations, both virtually and in person.

I’m Coach T, a certified canine behavior professional and AKC-approved CGC Evaluator providing dog training services in Puerto Rico for behavior problems, reactivity, puppies, and leash pulling.
Before working with dogs, I spent years in healthcare as a Registered Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist in emergent and outpatient cardiac settings. That background shaped my assessment-first approach and focus on regulation and decision-making in real-world environments.
I work with both young dogs building early behavioral foundations and individuals who rely on dogs for stability and daily support.
After training my own service dog under professional guidance, I founded Canine Assistance Puerto Rico to offer force-free, assessment-led training focused on real-world behavior at home and in public.
