Summary of Terms
​
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are part of the Liability Release Consent Agreement – a legally binding contract governing your participation with Canine Assistance Puerto Rico. You should read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) in full, but here are a few key things you should take away:
​​By enrolling, you agree to the following:

All tuition and fees are non-refundable once training begins.

Missed sessions, cancellations, or no-shows are not eligible for refund.

Cancellations require a minimum of 24 hours’ written notice to be eligible for rescheduling.

Cancellations without proper notice are subject to a $650 cancellation fee, due immediately.

Access to online platforms and materials is provided upon enrollment.

Email inquiries are responded to within 48 business hours. Participants are responsible for checking spam or promotions folders.

Participation is subject to all applicable policies, including the Privacy Policy, Service Dog Eligibility Policy, course plans, learning objectives, and all executed agreements.

Participants must be 18 years or older to consent to services and 13 years or older to participate in training.

These Terms exist to ensure clarity, consistency, and program integrity.

Please also note that these Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy, (https://www.canineassistancepr.com/privacy) and Service Dog Eligibility Policy (https://www.canineassistancepr.com/sdeligibility) as well as other terms applicable to your use of the Services and The Course Plan and Learning Objectives, completing Liability Release Consent Agreement, NonDisclosure Agreement, Media Release, and Service Animal Training and Support Acknowledgement. Finally, you must be at least 18 years old to Consent to services and at least 13 years old to participate in training.

1. Acceptance of Terms
​
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and participation in Canine Assistance Puerto Rico programs, services, and website content. By enrolling, purchasing, scheduling, attending, or otherwise participating, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Eligibility / Participation Requirements
​
Participants must be 18 years or older to consent to services and 13 years or older to participate in training. Participation is contingent on compliance with all eligibility criteria, standards, and participation requirements.

3. Modifications & Availability
​
Canine Assistance Puerto Rico, LLC reserves the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the website, content, programs, scheduling, or services at any time, without notice.
Information provided on the website is subject to change and does not constitute a guarantee of availability, outcomes, or continued offering.

4. Fees / Payments / Refunds
​
Payment is required prior to scheduling. All fees are non-refundable once training begins. Missed sessions, cancellations, or no-shows are not eligible for refund. Cancellations without a minimum of 24 hours’ written notice are subject to a $650 cancellation fee, due immediately.

5. Scheduling / Attendance
​
Participants are responsible for securing scheduled sessions. Limited availability may result in scheduling delays. Sessions may be cancelled without notice due to weather, power outages, or unforeseen circumstances. Program timelines may be adjusted accordingly.

6. Conduct / Enforcement
​
Participants must follow all program protocols, handle dogs humanely and responsibly, and maintain respectful conduct toward staff and other participants. Failure to meet standards may result in suspension, removal from the program, or discontinuation of services to protect canine welfare and public safety.

7. Limitation of Liability / Disclaimers
​
Participation involves inherent risk when working with dogs in real-world environments. CAPR provides training and educational services only and does not guarantee specific outcomes. Liability is limited as set forth in the executed Liability Release and Consent Agreement and related acknowledgments.

8. Governing Law / Miscellaneous
​
These Terms are governed by the laws of Puerto Rico, unless otherwise required by law. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms incorporate CAPR’s Privacy Policy, Service Dog Eligibility & Standards, Schedule and Participation Requirements, and all executed agreements, which together govern participation. Enrollment constitutes agreement to all policies, standards, and procedures.

Consumer Disclosure Regarding Conducting Business Electronically, Receiving Electronic Notices and Disclosures, and Signing Documents Electronically
Electronic Records & Signature Consent
By proceeding, you consent to conduct business with Canine Assistance Puerto Rico electronically. This includes receiving notices, disclosures, agreements, and executing documents using electronic signatures.
Electronic signatures carry the same legal effect as handwritten signatures.
You are not required to consent to electronic communications. You may request paper copies or withdraw consent at any time.
Paper Copies & Withdrawal of Consent
You may request paper copies of documents or withdraw consent to electronic communications by contacting Canine Assistance Puerto Rico in writing. Fees may apply for paper copies.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the validity of documents previously executed electronically.
System Requirements
Accessing electronic records requires a standard web browser with PDF viewing capability.
Privacy & Use of Personal Information
Canine Assistance Puerto Rico collects and uses personal information solely for the purpose of providing training services, program administration, billing, and quality assurance.
Use and disclosure of information is limited to what is necessary for these purposes, unless otherwise required by law or authorized in writing.
You have the right to:​

Request an accounting of disclosures
Requests must be submitted in writing. Responses will be provided within legally required timeframes.
Requests may be denied where disclosure would endanger safety, compromise third-party privacy, or violate applicable law. Denials may be reviewed upon request.
Canine Assistance Puerto Rico does not retaliate against individuals for exercising privacy rights.
Acknowledgment
By signing, you acknowledge that you have read and understand these terms and consent to participate under the conditions described above.

Consentimiento para Registros y Firmas Electrónicas
Al continuar, usted consiente realizar negocios con Canine Assistance Puerto Rico por medios electrónicos. Esto incluye la recepción de avisos, notificaciones, acuerdos y la firma de documentos mediante firma electrónica.
Las firmas electrónicas tienen el mismo valor legal que las firmas manuscritas.
Usted no está obligado/a a consentir las comunicaciones electrónicas. Puede solicitar copias en papel o retirar su consentimiento en cualquier momento.

Copias en Papel y Retirada del Consentimiento
Puede solicitar copias en papel de los documentos o retirar su consentimiento para las comunicaciones electrónicas contactando por escrito con Canine Assistance Puerto Rico. Pueden aplicarse cargos por la emisión de copias en papel.
La retirada del consentimiento no afecta a la validez de los documentos firmados electrónicamente con anterioridad.
Requisitos del Sistema
El acceso a los registros electrónicos requiere un navegador web estándar con capacidad para visualizar documentos en formato PDF.
Privacidad y Uso de Información Personal
Canine Assistance Puerto Rico recopila y utiliza información personal exclusivamente con el fin de prestar servicios de formación, administrar el programa, gestionar la facturación y garantizar la calidad del servicio.
El uso y la divulgación de la información se limitan a lo estrictamente necesario para estos fines, salvo cuando la ley lo exija o exista una autorización expresa por escrito.
Usted tiene derecho a:

Solicitar la divulgación a terceros autorizados

Solicitar un registro de las divulgaciones realizadas
Las solicitudes deben presentarse por escrito. Las respuestas se proporcionarán dentro de los plazos legalmente establecidos.
Las solicitudes pueden ser denegadas cuando la divulgación pueda poner en riesgo la seguridad, vulnerar la privacidad de terceros o contravenir la legislación aplicable. Las denegaciones podrán ser revisadas previa solicitud.
Canine Assistance Puerto Rico no tomará represalias contra ninguna persona por ejercer sus derechos de privacidad.

Al firmar, usted reconoce que ha leído y comprendido estos términos y acepta participar bajo las condiciones descritas anteriormente.
